Change Your Name - Individual Shareholder
Changing your name is a legal process that must be approached with care and due diligence. Whether your name has changed due to marriage, personal preference, or corporate restructuring, it is essential to update your records to maintain access to your shares and dividends with Africa Prudential Plc (AP Plc).
If you purchased
shares under your maiden name or wish to make a personal name change, follow
the steps below to ensure your records are updated accordingly.
Steps:
Send the Following Documents:
Affidavit stating the reason for the name change.
Marriage Certificate (if applicable).
Declaration of Divorce (if applicable).
- Duly signed letter requesting for change of name
Newspaper Publication (original copy required for sighting).
Valid Means of Identification: Acceptable forms include a national ID
card, international passport, or driver’s license (original copy required
for sighting).
Evidence of Share Purchase: This includes share certificates, dividend counterfoil, CSCS statement of account etc.
CSCS Statement of Account: This is required if the shares were purchased through the secondary market
Self Identification: This is required only if your signature has changed or appears irregular.
Additional Information
Processing Fees: The name change process is free of charge. However, if there is a change or irregularity in your signature, a processing fee of ₦1000 must be paid for the processing and verification of Self Identification.
